Beth Ashburn

I am a 2006 graduate now teaching at Vandalia Christian School in Greensboro. This is my 11th year teaching here, and today I was awarded the 2017 Teacher of the Year distinction by my administration and peers. I am so honored to be recognized for this award, especially at such a young stage in my career. However, I would not be the teacher I am without the education I received at Piedmont. I will always be so thankful for the classes and opportunities I received through Piedmont. Dr. Ashburn, Mrs. Perkins, and Ms. Smith - you all furthered my knowledge and love of English and teaching on the high school level. Dr. Miller, you've been such a big part of my life from high school to college and even in helping me with my Masters work. Dr. Petitt, the school would not be the same without you. I love all the progress you encourage in the school that makes it a place I can recommend to students without reservation. Thank you all so much for all you've done to impact my life.
