Piedmont International University is an urban University located in the collegiate district of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and is about one hour from the mountains and a few hours from the coast. For over 70 years PIU has been educating undergraduate students at its main campus for students desiring a residential experience. Our residential classes operate on a four day schedule (Tuesday through Friday) offering flexibility with work and ministry opportunities. Housing is available on campus in our spacious residence halls. We offer apartment style housing for our married students.

In recent years PIU has added the option for online classes through the Spurgeon School of Online Education to increase the flexibility and mobility of the educational experience for our students. The online option allows students to explore ministry opportunities, internships and flexible schedules beyond traditional options. Classes are offered three semesters per year with two sessions offered per semester.

At Piedmont, students can fluidly move between online and residential classes without the hassle of withdrawing from one school and enrolling in another. Residential and online courses are designed to work with each other and provide complementary educational offerings for maximum flexibility for you the student.

A Student's Perspective

“I have definitely grown spiritually and in the knowledge of the Word of God. Becoming more familiar with God's Word has been one of the greatest investments that I have made in my life and I have Piedmont to thank for being that faithful institute to help guide me on that road to spiritual maturity.” Micah Griffith '12 Biblical Studies
