Bachelor of Arts Bible w/Selected Minor Online

The BA Bible with Selected Minor provides men and women with preparation for Christian ministry through extensive Bible courses and strategic ministry courses. The program is designed for those who are already active in local church ministry or would like to expand or enrich their service for Christ. In addition to the opportunity to include three practical internships (six semester hours) under the combined direction of an approved local pastor and an appropriate faculty member, the program includes a minor so students can explore with some depth a second area of academic and ministry interest.

Objectives:
  • Demonstrate a general knowledge of the books of the Bible, including the key individuals, major events, and historical settings
  • Employ competence in a minor field as a base for future instruction or ministry
  • Exhibit an ability to integrate a biblical world view in personal and professional life applications
  • Interpret the Bible in a competent manner consistent with a literal, grammatical, contextual, and historical principles of interpretation
  • Minister effectively in local church setting
