Bachelor of Arts in Music Ministries

This four-year program is designed to prepare individuals to lead a comprehensive church music ministry.

Objectives:
  • Utilize a basic knowledge of the Bible as a foundation of all Christian service
  • Demonstrate collegiate proficiency in music theory and aural skills, music history, conducting, arranging, and analyzing their relevancy to church music
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in a primary instrument and functional proficiency in a secondary instrument (piano or voice)
  • Exhibit the skills necessary for the administration of a music program in a local church
  • Articulate a biblical philosophy of church music and its relationship to the local church congregation
