Dr. Shean Phillips
Alford School of Ministry
Thanks for visiting my PIU Faculty bio page! Here is a little about my ministry and my heart:
I graduated from Piedmont in 1997, it has been humbling and exciting that the Lord has allowed me to return to my Alma Mater to teach in the areas of Youth ministry and Christian Education. My wife Angie (Bailey-class of 1995) and I spent 13 years in youth ministry in NC, ME, and MI. We moved to Winston-Salem from Lynchburg, Virginia in 2006. While in Lynchburg, I served as interim youth pastor at Timberlake Baptist Church and attended Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and received Masters degrees in Youth Ministry and Christian Education. In 2015, I graduated with a Doctor of Educational Ministries degree in Family Ministry and Discipleship from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
I am excited about being involved with the ministry of our local church here in Winston-Salem, I frequently speak at camps, conferences, and local church training events. When not ministering, I enjoy riding my motorcycle with Angie, having fun with our foster children, playing pick up basketball with PIU students, and an occasional round of disc golf.
If I can use the training and experience God has gifted me with to build up your church or campers, or even just to point you toward a resource, please give me a call or an email. My ministry is that of an equipper, so I truly would count it as a pleasure.
I will leave you with a passage that the Lord has used to structure my ministry; 2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
