Physical Education

Mrs. Laura Richards is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, and she has spent the past 28 years in the Greensboro/High Point area. During her college athletic experience, Mrs. Richards felt called to work with college students. She continued with her education, and completed a Masters Degree in Physical Education from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Mrs. Richards has held full-time teaching and coaching positions at Lees-McRae College and Salem College and has taught full-time at Greensboro College. She has also been an adjunct instructor at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and at High Point University.

She has always enjoyed teaching and coaching college students; God has given her a passion for this particular age group. Mrs. Richards’ desire is for her students to grow and develop and to see her commitment to Christ by her words and actions.

“I am grateful that the Lord has led me to Piedmont International University.  It has been a blessing to work with the students, faculty and staff in such a Christ-centered environment.  This is a wonderful place for college students to grow in their understanding, love and service toward our Lord.”

Mrs. Richards has always enjoyed participating in sports and activities and continues to exercise on a regular basis. She believes that as Christians we are also all called to honor God with our bodies. Mrs. Richards and her family live in Greensboro.
