*The state of North Carolina began assessing a sales tax on college and university meal plans
in 2014. Piedmont must collect this tax and remit it to the state each semester. For 2014, the
per semester tax is $132.30 for the full meal plan and $81.27 for those on the 12-meal plan
(juniors and seniors can select a 12-meal plan for $2,605.00 in place of the full plan).

 

 

Tuition Refund Schedule
Tuition refunds and Institutional Financial Aid adjustments are based on the date the Registrar's Office is
notified in writing by the student of his/her withdrawal in accordance with the refund schedule.   The
number of days for refund calculations are based on the published academic calendars for each semester.

Fees are not refundable. Room and Board refunds are subject to the contractual provisions with PIU's caterer.
Federal Financial Aid will be refunded in accordance with the US Department of Education guidelines.
Tuition will be refunded in full for courses that are dropped before the course begins.
