About Dr. House
H. Wayne House is Distinguished Research Professor of Theology, Law, and Culture at Faith Evangelical College and Seminary in Tacoma, Washington. He was Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary; Professor of Theology and Culture at Trinity Graduate School, Trinity International University; and Professor of Law at Trinity Law School. He has a Juris Doctorate from Regent University School of Law, a Doctor of Theology from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, a Master of Arts in Patristic Greek from Abilene Christian University, a Master of Theology and Master of Divinity from Western Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical and Hellenistic Greek from Hardin-Simmons University. He received the Certificate in International Human Rights from the famed Institut International des Droits de l’Homme, Strasbourg, France (1998). He teaches as adjunct or visiting professor at a number of seminaries in the United States and the South Pacific. He has spoken in the United States Capitol and is a lifetime member of the United States Supreme Court Historical Society, begun by Chief Justice Warren Burger.

He has been author, co-author, or editor of nearly forty books; author of more than seventy theological and legal journal and magazine publications; and a contributor to several books, dictionaries and encyclopedias. Among his many books are Nelson Study Bible (NT editor), Nelson's Illustrated Bible Commentary (NT editor), The Battle for God, Charts of Apologetics and Christian Evidences, Charts of World Religions, Intelligent Design 101, Reasons for Our Hope: An Introduction to Christian Apologetics, and Answers to Common Questions about Jesus. He is General Editor of the Evangelical Exegetical Commentary series (44 vols; Logos software). He has recently begun publishing a variety of resources electronically including works on Intelligent Design, resources on America’s Christian History, and the upcoming House Visual Study Bible.

Dr. House serves on the board of different organizations, including the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (of which he was founding president); Intelligent Design and Evolution Awareness (IDEA Center); and Evangelical Ministries to New Religions. He served as president of the Evangelical Theological Society (1991) and is a Member of the Pre-Trib Study Group. He has been leading study tours to the Mediterranean and Middle East for eighteen years.
