Summer 2019 CEU Workshops

The Moore School of Education will offer the following modules and workshops for Bible and Professional CEUs.  Registration will be available at www.piedmontu.edu in early May; look for the link to summer CEU workshops. Register in advance. Fees are not paid until you attend a workshop.

 

Workshop #1: Exceptional Learners and Differentiation

Tuesday, July 9, 8:30-3:30 and Wednesday, July 10, 8:30-12:30

A professional workshop for teachers of all levels, this will be a survey the types and characteristics of exceptional learners, including gifted & talented, and the differentiation strategies that are essential for an effective and dynamic classroom environment.

Workshop #2: Contemporary Apologetics

Tuesday, July 16, 8:30-3:30 and Wednesday, July 17, 8:30-12:30

A workshop that defends biblical truth as related to current issues within the area of cultural apologetics. Topics will address a variety of theological concepts and common misunderstandings of the Bible which often lead to misguided beliefs about God, the Bible, ethics, and cultural trends.

Workshop #3: Literacy, the Key to Effective Learning

Tuesday, July 23, 8:30-3:30 and Wednesday, July 24, 8:30-12:30

A professional workshop for teachers of all levels that investigates essential skills in literacy strategies.  Reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills will be examined and evaluated as components for developing a vibrant environment for comprehension and thinking

Important Note:  For planning purposes, participants are asked to enroll at least one week prior to the start date.  Early registration is important because each workshop has a minimum attendance requirement which, if not met, may cause the workshop to be canceled.
